Full Pool Service
The full pool service is our most popular service as it includes most of the tricky and more difficult to do jobs many home owners don’t wish to do, or feel comfortable doing.

Water Test
We use a computerised spintouch water test method.
NB: if you’re current mobile technicians are not using this method we advise you taking your water to a shop and having it tested with an instore spintouch water testing device. Most shops use this method.
Spintouch tests are accurate and the chemicals are then applied accurately so you receive a service that you’re paying for. Results are recorded electronically and the data can be kept and can be compared against the next visit. Why pay for a water and tablet or chemical reagent test you could do yourself, with far ranging “guess by the closest colour” results.
Importantly, a spintouch tests for phosphates.
All the results, including a phosphate reading, are deadly accurate. The subsequent chemical application is applied in an accurate manner and the resultant pool balance is as perfect as possible. You are paying for this, so ensure you receive and accurate reading and an accurate dosing of chemicals – not a best guess.
Pool walls, floors, pool sides and tiles are cleaned. The surface is scooped. We’ll look for signs of chemical imbalance such as calcium build up, mineral staining (copper or iron plating out around the return jets) and keep on top of those potential hazards.
Baskets are empties and cleaned
Filters are backwashed, cartridges are water blasted.
These days most cells are self cleaning, meaning they reverse the polarity of the positive and negatives each time they switch on, or at certain intervals. This reversal process cleans the cell and reduces the build ups. However the modern, self cleaning cells still require attention and may need cleaning and maintenance from time to time. They’re made from extremely strong and precious metals, however without careful attention they can be ruined easily and are expensive to replace. Our methods of pool maintenance guarantee long cell life expectancy.
We’ll communicate before, during and after each visit to keep you informed, engaged and loving your pool as much as we do.
We remove the robots, clean the baskets, reassemble and set the speed controls or timers. It’s important to keep robots working at the correct speed. The internal components are no match for the power of a pool pump on full speed. The correct mix of water movement via the skimmer and through the cleaner needs to be applied. Without careful attention many cleaners are worn out soon after the warranty period and are an expensive purchase. With regular checks, we are able to guarantee our clients receive the maximum life from their robot cleaners and internal componentry.
We check the cell, leads and connections to ensure efficient chlorinator output and look for warning signs of heat and inefficiency.
We check the timer setting and adjust accordingly to suit the macro and micro climatic situation for each pool.

Regular Servicing
By far and away the best method of pool maintenance is with a regular (usually monthly) pool service. In doing so your pool will be kept in premium condition for the least cost. Pools thrive on regular attention. The longer they’re left, the further out of balance they become and the more attention (time, money, chemicals) are required to bring them back.
Similarly, pool equipment needs regular service. Pumps, chlorinators, filters, robotic cleaners are the most hardest working equipment in your house, operating outdoors in salt water, in most cases. Like your car, pool equipment needs to be monitored and serviced regularly to avoid costly breakdowns at inopportune times.
Power costs are increasingly delving into family budgets and pools can be a huge drain on that budget. Aquamagic guarantee all our clients systems are running on the most efficient settings all year round. This is achieved not just with careful monitoring of the timer settings with seasonal adjustments but also with chemical control. Ask us how – this is our passion. The modern chemistry balance, is allowing us to reduce pump times and chlorinator outputs by 50% in most cases. This means half the power and your chlorinator, pump, filtration and other equipment is working half as hard and should last twice as long.
Careful monthly attention to robotic cleaners is another of our passions. We supply, service and support all the major brands of pool cleaners. Importantly we keep an eye on the to ensure they’re running at a speed that make them work most efficiently without causing undue wear and tear on the expensive internal components.

Acid Washing
Over the years many pool shells become stained as certain introduced chemicals and foreign matters stick to the pool shell. Just as your driveway and other concrete services require cleaning from time to time so may your pool shell. We offer many forms of stain treatments but acid washing is by far the most comprehensive.
Acid washing involves draining the pool with our submersible pumps, we use a mix of diluted hydrochloric acid. This really brings the pool shell back to its original state, as the acid strips away all the foreign matter that has stuck to the walls and floors over the years. The pool is then given a thorough gurney and wash down.
We usually then replace the hydrostatic valve and suction covers and jets. Now is also the time to upgrade your pool lighting if you see fit. Finally, the pool is rebalanced with chemicals and ready to. The whole process takes a few days, depending on the size of your pool and we guarantee you’ll be amazed at the results. They really do come up like a brand new pool.

Pump Repairs
We have 30 years experience in repairing pumps and will happily save you time and money in repairing your pump. Don’t risk calling a business to take your pump away and book it in to be repaired elsewhere.

Lighting
In most cases we can fix your pool lights quickly and inexpensively without dropping the water in your pool.
One of the most popular services is to replace your old, non working pool lights with new LED lights. Our light of choice is the Spa Electrics Retro Fit Multicoloured LED. They look fantastic in any pool and have many functions and light shows to suit your mood. They install straight onto where your existing lights are removed from and we set them up with the existing transformers and light switches currently in your pool. An optional controller is also available and far easier to use than to program your lights via a light switch. Ask about the Spa Electrics iRis Remote.
